Last updated: July 2, 2026
TrendyMemez respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (“DMCA”), TrendyMemez responds promptly to claims of copyright infringement committed using our website and services.
1. Reporting infringement
If you believe that a sound hosted on TrendyMemez infringes your copyright, please send a written takedown notice via our Contact page or by email to dmca@trendymemez.com. Your notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent.
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (title, description, registration number if applicable).
- The specific URL(s) on TrendyMemez where the allegedly infringing material is located (e.g.
https://trendymemez.com/sound/example-slug). - Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
2. What happens next
Upon receipt of a complete takedown notice, TrendyMemez will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the reported material — usually within 24–48 hours of receipt. We will notify the uploader (if identifiable) that the content has been removed pursuant to a DMCA notice.
3. Counter-notice
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- A description of the removed material and the URL where it appeared.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, phone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal district court.
If we receive a valid counter-notice we may restore the material after 10–14 business days unless the original claimant files a court action.
4. Repeat infringer policy
TrendyMemez terminates the accounts of users who are the subject of repeat or egregious infringement notices. Repeat infringers may also have their uploads removed and IP addresses blocked from re-uploading.
5. Misuse of the DMCA process
Submitting false or bad-faith takedown notices may result in liability for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees under Section 512(f) of the DMCA. Please only submit notices for material you truly believe infringes your rights.
6. Contact
