About TrendyMemez
TrendyMemez is a free, searchable archive of short audio clips — the sounds that circulate through TikTok edits, Discord servers, WhatsApp groups, and Twitch streams. There are just over 7,000 clips in the catalogue, each one playable in the browser and downloadable as an MP3.
Why this site exists
Short audio has become a real form of shorthand. A two-second bass hit means “emphasis”; a record scratch means “stop”; a specific buzzer means “wrong answer” to people who have never watched the game show it came from. That vocabulary is genuinely useful and genuinely hard to search for, because the clips are scattered across platforms that were never designed to index them.
TrendyMemez is an attempt to catalogue them properly: one clip per page, with its length, format, file size, origin category, and how often people actually use it, so you can find the right sound instead of scrubbing through a compilation video hoping to catch it.
How the catalogue is built
Clips come from two places. The bulk of the archive was assembled and categorised by hand. The rest is uploaded by people using the site.
Uploads are not published straight into the index. A new upload is playable immediately but stays out of search engines until it has accumulated real usage, which filters out both spam and material nobody wanted. Categorisation is reviewed rather than automatic — this is why the Custom category exists as a holding area.
The written descriptions on category pages and in the guides are written by hand. If something in them is wrong, we would rather hear about it than not — the contact page goes to a real inbox.

- Sign in to save favourites and to upload clips of your own.
On copyright — and what we can't tell you
A large part of this archive consists of excerpts from published work: film dialogue, television stings, recorded music, broadcast commentary. Those clips are catalogued because they are culturally significant and because people look for them.
What we cannot do is tell you that any given clip is cleared for your use. That depends on the recording, your jurisdiction, and what you intend to do with it — and “it is only two seconds” is not the protection most people assume it is. We have written up how to think about this in Meme sounds and copyright. It is not legal advice, but it will tell you which questions matter.
If you hold rights to something here and want it removed, the DMCA / Copyright policy sets out the process. We act on every good-faith request and we do not require a lawyer to be involved for us to take something down.
How the site is funded
TrendyMemez is free and carries advertising. There is no paid tier, no signup wall, and no watermark, and we do not sell downloads. Ads are the only revenue source.
We do not run pop-ups, pop-unders, or interstitials that block the sound you came for. A second ad network that served pop-unders was removed from the site in September 2026 for exactly that reason. What data is collected and why is set out in the Privacy policy.
If you would rather support the site directly than see ads, the Support page explains how.
Who runs this site
TrendyMemez is run by two people — Prince Kheni and Pritesh Suvagiya, based in India. It is an independent project, not a company, and it has been publishing since 2026.
Corrections, takedown requests, partnership enquiries, and complaints all go to the same place: support.trendymemez@gmail.com, or the contact form. Messages are read by one of us, not by a support queue.
